Getting Started

  • Find a quiet place to sit comfortably upright—at the edge of your bed, on the floor, or in a chair
  • Close your eyes and tune into the breath or another point of focus to be fully present
  • Relax your body—loosen your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and soften your brows

Mindful Meditation to Foster Daily Intention

If you've ever been to a yoga class or joined a guided meditation, you may be familiar with the act of setting an intention before the practice. Spoiler alert: It's also something we encourage at the beginning of these video meditations.

But intention-setting isn't just limited to self-care activities; it's also a grounding way to begin your day or even before a big conversation. Maybe it's something as simple as saying hello to everyone you cross paths with that day or as challenging as giving yourself grace if you don't cross off everything on your to-do list.

Setting an intention before you take action sets the tone for how and why you want to show up in the world. It gives your actions purpose and anchors the direction in which you go on about your day. Whenever you're feeling lost within the chaos that is life, use this meditation to set and reflect on your intention. Hopefully, it'll help guide your next move with clarity.
