And while staying focused and getting things done helps us move through life, there's healthy busy, and there's crazy busy. When we run through our days on autopilot, we can get caught up in the add-ons or the stories we tell ourselves rather than experiencing each moment for what it is. We spiral down a rabbit hole of thoughts and ever-shifting emotions that numb us to the here and now. Take a moment to notice those add-ons the next time you go about your morning routine. How can we separate them from our experiences in the moment? Can we walk to catch our train, knowing we're walking to catch the train? Can we take a sip of coffee and notice that we're sipping our coffee? This meditation will help us practice noticing what's happening around us and seeing things for what they actually are.
