Fairley Lloyd is a writer, editor, and mental health activist born and raised in North Carolina. She earned her bachelor of fine arts degree in creative writing and her certificate in publishing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. -Fairley Lloyd graduated from Cape Fear Community College with an Associate in Arts in 2017. She was on the president's list her first year and consistently made the dean's list. Fairley was also inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.-Fairley graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Certificate in Publishing in 2020. She consistently made the dean's list and was inducted into the following honor societies: The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization, and Tau Sigma National Honor Society. She was also awarded the 2019-2020 Lynne Reader B.F.S.A. Scholarship, which is awarded to Black students involved in the community.-Fairley earned Rookie of the Year in 2019 for her first-year involvement as the Assistant News Editor in her college's newspaper, The Seahawk, which was the same year the newspaper one student organization of the year. While she served as Senior Editor at the college's chapter of Her Campus, the chapter was awarded Platinum status, which the Her Campus organization at large assigns to the top 40% of chapters in the nation.
