Many web servers on the internet have been infected with a Unix virus. This virus is called Shockwave and can be introduced through some Unix software programs with vulnerabilities like Bash, a replacement for the Bourne shell.

It can then infect your computer using the website that your are visiting.

If you cannot navigate from the web site due to this pop-up asking you to confirm or scan or some related OK button question then you know that this is the virus.

Do not click on these pop-up advertisements or the window simply use Task Manager to close your browser sessions.

If you have anti-malware software running then you will probably not have issues. If you do not have anti-malware and you wish to buy anti-malware then be careful as there are many fake ant-malware programs out there.

EXAMPLE: I sent a notification to CNET and Softpedia recently:

You got conned by Enigma Software with their SpyHunter 4 software, as it is totally fake software. This will ruin your reputation so I strongly advise that you no longer advertise any of their products – Reghunter, Spyhunter, etc. on your site.

The software runs extremely long for the scan. This is a red flag, it should not take this long.

It produces a massive list of false positives, another red flag.

It claims to be free but none of it is free, another red flag.

The price is initially $30 but only $10 if you try to unintall, another red flag.

You cannot contact them unless you buy their software, another red flag.

They actually originate from Bulgaria, another red flag.

The software does not work which is the ultimate in red flags.

I will be notifying all of the embarrassed software reviewers of their mistake in hosting this product. I am making the assumption that RegHunter is bogus as well.

Hopefully you have rectified this situation before I finish my reviews on these products and software hosting sites.
