For best portable use, a 8GB USB Flash drive will do, though a 16GB one is preferred & often on promo at Newegg & other sites. Doesn’t have to be the fastest one, just well reviewed & reliable, and most important, backed by a 5 year warranty minimum, some have Lifetime protection.

Then be sure to update EEK weekly to prevent long updates if not used for months, and while there, may as well at least run a Malware scan on your computer, takes only minutes, for many with SSD’s, under a couple.

I’ve had EEK in my toolbox for years, and suggest that everyone who cares about their computer has the same. Cleaning up Malware & PUP’s not only cleans threats, these actions will also speed up one’s computer. Then one will see where their performance went!

After a cleanup with EEK, I highly suggest to give Emsisoft Anti Malware (best for low spec computers), or Emsisoft Internet Security a full 30 day functional trial. Unlike many of the competitors, come two days into the trial, there’ll be no popups to subscribe, though there’ll be a not too intrusive warning a couple of days before the trial ends. Then it converts into a manual scanner w/out Live protection, though one can still update & scan. Still, it’s best to purchase a subscription, and Emsisoft are always running promos on their offerings that’s more than competitive with other brands offerings.
