Then check if the caller is still there. (Probably not.) If so say “I’m sorry to have kept you waiting” and put the phone back under the pillow again or in the drawer. And keep repeating this until the caller has hung up.

Chances are they spread the word -put you on a black list- not to waste time with you: “Stay away from that guy if you don’t want to go nuts with frustration.” : D

Hyundai has about the best warranty service with their 10 year/100,000 mile warranty on the engine and drive train. These jokers wanted to sell me an extended warranty. Also, if I don’t recognize the phone number, I don’t answer the phone. There’s also websites to check up on phone numbers to see if they’re suspicious or not.

I tried calling the number and it was out of service. I know it’s a scam, and like most of you, I am on the “Do Not Call” list. I make a written complaint but the calls keep rolling in. [somebody loves me, huh?]

He asked for my date of birth and last four digits of my SSN #. I gladly gave them to him, except for the fact that they were entirely made up and no where near what the real ones are.

Good luck using those and my name to get any information.

And I don’t like posting on this site with my full name.
