From technical view, both are the same program. But the free version can’t be used in commercial environment, the PRO version can. It’s basically the license key that you buy. It also removes the freeware notifications in the software.

But what I really dislike, is not the layout of the user interface, but the size of it. It’s in my opinion, way too bulky. I know some of my friends that use laptops with 11 or 13 inch, have issues, because the have to move the user interface around to be able to see all of the text. It could be nice if the user interface could be resized in greater extent, from smaller frame size ( as the size of version 7 or .. ) , and to the size as it has now. That way we could please all. Those which eyesight need bigger interface, and those who wish it to have a more moderate/restrained interface.

I’ve found that it’s not compatible with Panda free AV.

EEK freezes.

I had to put EEK in Panda’s exclusions to have them work together.

However, the Emsisoft team is willing to help you – for free.

My only problem is that with this version, 9.0.0.4353, I have experienced multiple crashes when trying to update.
