Experience

After graduating with a degree in consumer journalism from the University of Georgia, Brittany moved to New York City's upper west side to pursue a career in comedy. While she was doing that (mostly improv, but some stand-up!) at night, she worked at CBS and then TODAY.com during the day.

Especially during her time at TODAY.com, she wrote lots of articles about mental health and its role in creating a healthy life. During this time, she started seeing a therapist of her own and found that it transformed her outlook on the world.

She made it her goal to move into freelance writing full-time to focus more heavily on topics that she loved. This goal became a reality at the beginning of 2019. Brittany has since written for Real Simple, Shape, Health, Women's Health, Architectural Digest, InStyle, Elle, FoodNetwork.com, and many more outlets.

Brittany has also been able to write about traveling and has had the opportunity to see much of the United States through the lens of her career. She's also been able to spend more time with her husband, Nathan, and her two dogs, Desmond and Penny.

Education

Bachelor's in Consumer Journalism from the University of Georgia
